Force +1 is a company that developed a training regime in order to better prepare and provide confidence to trainees who are entering into the law enforcement field. We endeavour to develop training courses designed for future police officers in order to prepare them for the worst possible events, to be able to react when an attack may occur.

These courses are not offered to the general public as they are not geared towards self defence. Our courses are designed as though you are already a police officer and you can utilize all Use Of Force options. Not only does a police officer have to protect themselves, but are obligated to protect the public.

At Force +1 we are dedicated to provide quality training, in a professional manner, to enthusiastic individuals.

Steven G. Sproule is the Owner and Head Instructor of Force +1 Defensive Tactics Training. He is a current serving police officer in the province of Ontario with over 12 years of experience. Steve is currently assigned to a training unit responsible for the requalification of police officers in the areas of Defensive Tactics, Use of Force, and Firearms. He holds four instructor certifications in force related topics and regularly teaches open hand control tactics, impact weapons, OC aerosol sprays, firearms, and more.

Steve is a graduate of Sir Sandford Flemings’ Police Education Program. Prior to his policing career, he worked in the security related field in the area of Security Guard Services and Alarm Response.
Steve is also a current member of International Law Enforcement Educators and Trainers Association (ILEETA).
